When speaking about Voytek Faber, clients and colleagues alike will mention his remarkable work ethic and his attention to detail. They will even go so far as to applaud his “preciseness of design” and capacity to be dazzling. Indeed, Faber’s keen sense of style, enviable organizational skills, his uncanny knack for anticipating clients’ needs and overcoming challenges in innovative ways are what have helped drive Equilibrium Interior Design to its current success. Since founding the firm in 2009, Faber has designed private homes throughout Southern Florida as well as in Toronto, Vancouver; The Hamptons, New York and San Diego, California. Faber’s passion for design extends to both the creative and technical parts of the job. For instance, his love of contemporary art and traditional details can be felt as strongly throughout his work as his balance of form and structure; his skillful use of texture and color is used to enhance the quality of material and craftsmanship that make up each project’s foundation. His talent has not gone unnoticed. Faber’s design work has graced the pages of Haute Living Magazine, Fort Lauderdale Magazine, Palm Beach Design, Miami Design and many other publications. Faber has also won numerous ASID awards for his residential and commercial design work. When he isn’t exploring to-be-yet-discovered corners of the globe for exquisite architecture and exotic design inspiration, Faber calls Fort Lauderdale, Florida home. He is also actively involved working with the Make-a-Wish Foundation to make real the wishes of chronically and terminally-ill children.
SHALINA JAFFER

Shalina Jaffer grew up in tropical South Florida and attended the University of Miami’s School of Architecture, where she graduated with her degree in 2009. Since then, Jaffer has worked on a diverse range of design-build commercial and residential projects, developing her skills as a multidisciplinary architect by providing services such as: zoning code research, schematic design, feasibility studies, design development, construction document preparation, landscape design and permit expediting. Jaffer met Equilibrium Co-Founder and President Voytek Faber in 2014 and instantly connected with the ethos and excellence of upscale services provided by the Equilibrium Group. Through the fruition of their friendship, Faber’s goal of creating an Architecture division within the Equilibrium family began to take shape and was finally established in 2016. From their experiences there was an understanding that with a greater continuity of collaboration, a project could be most prosperous and avoid the all too common pitfalls of miscommunication and mismanagement between disciplines. This connection offers Equilibrium clients the opportunity to enjoy a high quality of craft and scope of services not commonly available in the industry. As an architect, Jaffer constantly draws on history and her exposure to many cultures as inspiration for her work; striving to always create harmony between the structural materials, methods and layers in each project she oversees. She believes that sensitivity to the landscape and an enhanced relationship to the surrounding environment are fundamental to intelligent design. The ultimate goal is to always satisfy her client’s wishes in the most efficient and beautiful way with this art form called architecture.
JENNIFER BLANCHETTE
Design Team Leader
Licensed Interior Designer
Blessed with dual nationality, Jennifer was born in New York and raised in Ottawa, Canada. She permanently relocated from her hometown to South Florida in her mid 20s.
Starting at early age Jennifer learned to compete with grace, in both sports and in life. She was taught that a true athlete is fierce in their determination, but fair to the game and the people who played it. It was like a mantra spoken from her grandfather and father who both played in the national hockey league.
It was in South Florida that she found her love for construction and design. In 2006, she assumed her B.Sc. with honors from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, majoring in Interior Design. Blanchette is currently an NCIDQ certificate holder with an interior design license in the state of Florida. She offers more than 12 years of design and project management experience within the commercial, corporate and luxury residential sector.
Her dedication to her client’s vision and goals provides an unparalleled project experience. She believes that effective communication and follow through are the key to any success. With an eye for detail and a resourceful disposition, Jennifer’s love of pursuing exclusive furnishings and materials produces unique and captivating results. She describes the perfect design as one that evokes an absolute excitement from onlookers, while providing the comfort, luxury and style the client desires. She believes the architecture of the space and the elements of the furnishings and accessories within it, is symbiotic. Everything in about a space should be synergetic. Jennifer has had the grand privilege to work on projects in Canada, Texas, Louisiana and South Florida.
In her downtime, she enjoys creating new memories with her husband and her little boy, Ayden. She enjoys laughing, gourmet cooking, entertaining and travelling. As a competitive golfer, she played in the World Juniors at Torrey Pines G.C. at the age of 14 and won the ‘Ladies’ Club Championship at the Rivermead G.C. in Canada, a year later. That competitive spirit she brings into her work is responsible not only for her continuous growth in the profession, but pushes her to break through boundaries and obstacles she encounters on a project.

"We have used Equilibrium for two projects-complete interior design for a 8000 sq foot estate spec project as well interior design for the renovation of our second home. we have had past experience with other interior designers and feel like Voytek and his team stand out in a few very important ways. Firstly both of these projects were completed with us being absentee developers/owners thru the design and construction phases. Voytek interfaced with the architect, builder, and real estate agents in order to make the processes as seamless to us, the client, as possible. Some of his efforts were not required or expected as part of our arrangement but were simply Voytek identifying a client need and reacting on his own accordingly.
